At Reculver are the remains of twin 12th-century towers from a ruined church which stand amid the remains of an important Roman ‘Saxon Shore’ fort and a Saxon monastery. Not a lot of activity felt here apart from the monk I saw walk past. The two pictures showing 'orb's. |

A bungalow guards the entrance to Kelvedon Hatch bunker, which is set up to 80 ft below the Essex Countryside. Just inside the bungalow is a 120m long tunnel , which leads into the main bunker. The only activity felt here was in the basement corridor. (See picture of the ghost on the para page.) |

Chart Gunpowder Mills were one of the first to be built in Britain. Established around 1560, but rebuilt when the Government took control 200 years later. They are said to be the oldest of its kind in the world and used to produce powder which was used at the battles of Trafalgar and Waterloo. Some activity was felt by a few of the group, but it was such a cold, wet and windy night we didn't stay long. Maybe worth another visit in the summer. Nothing caught on camera. |
