My name is Jackie. I was born in London into a ‘normal
working class family’ We celebrated Easter and Christmas
just like many other families, but apart from that I had no
religious upbringing. However, I was aware of my
grandmother (on my fathers side ) studying cards and tea leaves
at a very young age. Later to find out that she "read" the
cards and was very interested in the spiritual side of life.
My father
was her seventh child which is supposed to quite lucky. He
was very intuitive but would never acknowledge the fact,
and always stated that he was a strong disbeliever in the spirit
world.
I moved to Kent when I was about 10 years old and although I have moved
several times I still live in Kent today.
I have been interested in the spiritual side of life for as long as I can remember. I suppose I was always a little different from my friends, being very interested in the spirit world and the paranormal.
I shared the same interests and beliefs with a cousin, who was only a couple of months older than me, so it was easy to talk to her about any subject.
I grew up attending various spiritualist meetings, psychic fayres, mind and body exhibitions etc. anything which I thought looked interesting.
My cousin Lynne and I attended the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain in Bellgrave Square London when ever we could. It was a long way for us so we often had to drag my dad along for the lift. He never came in, but would
instead sit outside with a newspaper. One day we bought him a ticket, so he had to attend. We knew
he wouldn’t go into a private reading so we booked an open evening of clairvoyance. When he finally came he refused to sit with us, instead choosing to sit at the back where he could just observe. Although he
said he was a disbeliever he never tried to force his views on others,
or try to stop me from attending any meetings.
Anyway, he was picked from the audience almost immediately. He denied most of what he was told,
telling us it was a load of rubbish although he was very quiet on the way home.
Back
at my Aunts house, Lynne and I went to make a coffee. To
our amazement we overhead my dad telling my Aunt and Uncle all
about the meeting. The most memorable words being “Don’t
ever tell me it’s a load of rubbish, It was mum who came
through, no one could ever have known what that woman did”.
He was a believer from then on although never wanted to attend
another meeting.
When Lynne and I
moved into our own homes we began to make Friday night our ‘spirit’ night. We would
often get together with a few other
friends and discuss different subjects. Sometimes we would sit quietly and just see if
we got any messages
or pictures from spirit. Other times we would look at tea leaves or tarot cards.
Well our Nan
had been interested in the cards and tea leaves so maybe we inherited some of
our interests from her. She died when we were about nine so I don’t really remember too much about her.
My interests widened as I grew older . Nature has always
been very special to me, the beauty we get from the plants and
trees are amazing. My garden has always been very
important to me, as I try to grow different plants and herbs
which I have learnt to use in a variety of ways. I have
always loved watching the moon and began to learn how to make
the most of her different
aspects.
I follow a spiritual path based upon a pagan ancient nature
religion.
I studied Astrology,
passing my diploma in 1996 with the Mayo school of Astrology, which is probably one of the oldest Astrology schools in England.
I have
sat in, and helped run various psychic development circles for over twenty years.
I now run my own development circles and still continue to learn
and develop my own medium-ship every day. I believe
we never stop
learning through each life time.
Being
very interested in Spirit, the Supernatural and Past lives, I went on to qualify as a Hypnotherapist,
which I
use for past life regression. Past live Regression
is such an interesting subject as peoples' experiences are so different.
I wonder how many of us have heard someone or even
ourselves say. "I've been hear before?" Wondered where an obsession come from? Or have been
drawn to a certain place. It could just be connected to a
Past Life.
I have been in several Paranormal investigation groups.
But have recently started my own which is based in Kent.
We
have had some very interesting results and even though I believe
in Spirit, I still try to remain as sceptical as
possible at any
investigation. I see photos all the time of so called
'Orbs', including many on the internet. Our group have taken
hundreds of photos showing 'Orbs'. Unfortunately, when
studied 90% of them have turned out to be dust, water or
reflections from shiny objects etc. The two photos I have
on my Paranormal page, taken at Reculver Towers, are photos I've taken where I could
actually 'see' spirit. There was no rain , dust, or
anything that could have caused a reflection onto the brick
work. Out of all the photos I have personally taken, they
are among the few of mine that I would class as possible 'Orbs'
and I say possible, as there is still no proof that the 'orbs'
really are spirit.
I believe
we all learn through experiences we have, no matter how hard or
bad these experiences feel at the time.
Karma - What goes around comes around.
World peace can only
be achieved if we love and respect each other as well as the
planet we live on.
